Skating is popular! Here you will find more information about opportunities for ice skating indoors and outdoors.

Between October and March there are opportunites for you to skate indoors at Arenastaden. The times for this are known as "Allmänhetens åkning", skating for the general public. Keep in mind that you need your own skates and we recommend that you always wear helmets.

Skating outdoors

For those who prefer outdoor skating during the fall and winter, there is the opportunity for the public to go on artificial frozen ice rinks in Åby and Öjaby.

In Öjaby there is a newly constructed artificial frozen outdoor rink run by Öjaby IS. In addition to training and competitions, it is open to the public every day from 9 to 20 from 16th of November.

In Åby, north of Växjö, there is an artificial frozen covered bandy rink run by ÅbyTjureda IF. It is open to the public every Sunday from 9-12.
